8 Week Meditation Course
'In meditation we find an ability to observe the mind and look in more detail at the stillness beyond the thoughts.'
The course will focus on teaching participants to physically relax their bodies, through creative visualisation meditation and breathing 'insight' meditation techniques.
Discussions will be held on the importance of quietness, stillness of mind, reducing stress and how to increase your experience of happiness
The aim of the course is to move through basic progressive muscle relaxation meditation to Anapana - mindfulness meditation by the end of the eighth week.
John Ballis has been teaching meditation and practising holistic medicine for over 25 years. John holds diplomas in many modalities, including many of the fields of Meditation, Hypnotherapy, Naturopathy and Tactile therapy.
John is an accredited trainer with Ian Gawler at the Gawler Foundation in Yarra Junction, done numerous 10-day meditation retreats and has run a number of introductory and advanced meditation courses in various locations since the early 1990’s.
He is currently running courses at The Theosophical Society Melbourne Buddhist Yoga and Meditation Centre.
Next 8 week course starts Wednesday 14th of July, 2010, 8pm.
